What impact has Grandma got STEM had on the contributors and featured STEM-ma women?

Allegra Swift says the post she wrote about her mother, Dixie Swift, gave her mother new insight about the impact she had on people from her past and ways she continues to inspire them.

Several people have written and submitted posts about women in their family only to quickly follow up with an email saying “Please take that down!  I need to post a revision!  I showed my family the post and I had the stories wrong.”  The posts were a vehicle for families to share and record stories that some family members had never heard.

Other posts have provided a way for people such as former students, co-workers, life partners, and family members to honor someone that they admire.
